How To Make Matcha

How to make matcha tea

The perfect and most stylish way to make matcha is still the traditional one. Place a teaspoon or two chashaku of organic matcha into a bowl. Add a tablespoon of cold water. Mix the powder and water together with a whisk so it forms a thick paste. Then add 70ml of hot water, not boiling water (ideally heated to 80°C to preserve the nutrients). Whisk the matcha back and forth until it's frothy.

To make a thick and strong matcha (Koicha), place two teaspoons or four chashaku of organic matcha into a bowl. Add a tablespoon of cold water. Mix the powder and water together with a whisk so it forms a thick paste. Then add 50ml of hot water, not boiling water (ideally heated to 80°C to preserve the nutrients). Whisk the matcha back and forth until it's frothy.

Relax, focus and enjoy!
